The goal of this project is to design and develop a device that lets freedivers keep track of their blood-oxygen saturation level under water to prevent freediving blackout caused by the hyperventilating effect and/or pressure reduction.
Specialized headset equipped with an SO2 sensor to keep track of diver's blood-oxygen saturation in real time under water. All the data from the sensors that keep tracks of the user's vitals processed by the 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M0+ processor and logged into an SD card. Bluetooth connectivity allows the device to transfer the logged data into a computer.
Lots of iterations made on both design and hardware layout in order to achieve water-proofing the whole system and prevent all the components from the pressure.
Lots of freedivers and people interesting in watersports testing the device in real-usage scenarios.
